Do I need an app to use it?
No, you don't need an app. You only need a smartphone with an internet connection to open or view the shared information.
Does it work with all phones?
Yes, all modern smartphones from recent years have NFC built-in and enabled by default. Older devices can manually enable NFC through the settings.
In what forms are the products available?
Our products are available in various formats, so you'll always have a version that suits your business or situation. Choose from stands, key rings, cards, and stickers, among other options. Each type features the same smart NFC technology, making it easy to share information or collect reviews.
Do I need an internet connection?
Yes, you need an internet connection to access the shared information. Our products use NFC to open a link in your smartphone's browser. Without internet access, the page won't load.
Is NFC safe to use?
Yes, NFC is a secure technology. The connection only works over a short distance, and no personal data is stored or automatically shared. Our products only transmit the link you set, giving you complete control over what is shared.
Product usage and settings
How does it work?
Hold the product close to a smartphone or let the phone touch the product. The configured link or page will automatically open in your browser.
Does NFC also work with a case on the phone?
In most cases, NFC works with a phone case. Thin or flexible cases won't affect the signal. With thicker or metal cases, the connection can sometimes be a bit more difficult. In that case, you can temporarily remove the case or hold the phone slightly closer to the device to ensure a good connection.
Do I need to install or configure anything before it works?
No, there's no app or installation required. You receive the product ready to use. If you want to change the associated information, you can easily do so via TapBuddi's online management platform.
Can I edit the linked information later?
Yes, you can edit the information at any time. Whether it's a new website, contact details, or a different link. The changes take effect immediately after you save them.
What happens when someone taps my TapBuddi?
When someone scans or taps your TapBuddi with a smartphone, the associated link opens. This could lead to your digital business card, website, or review page, for example.
Does it also work via a QR code?
Yes, every TapBuddi product also has a QR code. This allows you to access the information with phones that don't support NFC. The QR code leads to the same link or page as a tap.
My TapBuddi isn't working, what can I do?
First, check that the smartphone you're using supports NFC and that it's enabled. Hold the product near the top or back of the phone (depending on the model) and try again.
Still not working? Try it with another phone or scan the QR code to see if the link works. If the problem persists, please contact our customer service.
How can I test whether the NFC function on my phone works?
Most modern smartphones have NFC enabled by default. You can test this by tapping another NFC tag or product, or by checking the settings to see if NFC is enabled. On Android, you'll usually find this option under Connections or Connected Devices . On iPhones, NFC is enabled by default on all recent models (from iPhone 7 onwards).
What should I do if the link doesn't open?
Check that your phone has an active internet connection and that the NFC function is enabled. Also, make sure the link associated with the product is set up correctly and is still active. If it still doesn't work, try scanning the QR code to see if the page opens that way.
How do I pair my product for the first time?
After receiving your product, you can easily activate it through the TapBuddi dashboard. Scan the QR code or follow the instructions in the included manual to link the product to your account. Then, you can customize which link, page, or information opens when someone taps or scans your product.
How do I change the information associated with my product?
You can edit the linked information at any time via TapBuddi's online dashboard. Log in, open the relevant product, and edit the link or data you want to display. The changes are saved immediately and take effect immediately.
Does the product require electricity or a battery?
No, that's not necessary. Our products operate completely without a battery or power source. The built-in NFC chip is passive and draws its power from the smartphone's signal when someone taps the product. This makes the products maintenance-free and always ready for immediate use.
Personalization and customization
Can I have the products printed with my logo or design?
Yes, that's possible. All products can be personalized with your own logo, corporate identity, or design. This way, they perfectly match the image of your brand or company.
Can I have multiple products linked to different links?
Yes, that's possible. You can give each product its own link or purpose. For example, you could link one product to a review page and another to a contact profile or website.
Can I change the information later?
Yes, that's possible. You can change the information at any time via the TapBuddi online dashboard. Log in to your account, select the product, and edit the link or information you want to display. The changes are saved immediately and take effect as soon as someone uses the product.
